Install on macOS

Pinmist runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Macs with Apple Silicon or Intel chips. macOS already includes everything Pinmist needs to talk to an iPhone over USB, so there is nothing else to install.

1. Check which Mac you have

Open the Apple menu › About This Mac.

• If you see Chip followed by Apple M1, M2, M3, M4 or later, you need the Apple Silicon version.
• If you see Processor followed by an Intel name, you need the Intel version.

2. Download and install

1. Go to the download page and choose the version for your Mac.
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
3. Drag Pinmist into the Applications folder.
4. Eject the disk image from the Finder sidebar.

3. Open Pinmist

Open Pinmist from Applications or Launchpad. The first time, macOS asks you to confirm that you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Choose Open.

4. Sign in

Pinmist asks you to sign in the first time it opens. Enter the email you bought Pinmist with and choose Send code. We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in, and Pinmist opens the map.

Tip. Pinmist works on one computer at a time. Signing in on this Mac signs out any other computer that was using your account, and Pinmist tells you which one.
