Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Pinmist ("we" and "us"). By subscribing to or using Pinmist you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Pinmist.

1. Who can use Pinmist

You must be 18 or over. By subscribing, you confirm that you are.

2. Your devices

Use Pinmist only with an iPhone and a computer that you own, or that you have the owner's clear permission to use in this way. Never use Pinmist on someone else's phone without their knowledge.

3. What Pinmist does

Pinmist changes the location an iPhone reports to its apps, using the location simulation that Apple provides for developers. It changes the reported location only. It does not change the motion sensors or any other data on the phone.

The simulated location lasts only while Pinmist is simulating. Your real location returns when you stop the simulation, unplug the iPhone, quit Pinmist or restart the iPhone. We do not promise that any particular app will accept a simulated location, or that Apple will keep the developer features Pinmist relies on.

4. Other apps and services

Many apps and services forbid simulated or false locations in their own terms, and may suspend or close accounts that use them. You are responsible for reading and following the terms of every app or service you use with Pinmist. We are not responsible for any action they take against you.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Pinmist to:

• break the law, or help anyone else break it;
• stalk, harass, track or deceive another person;
• commit fraud, including against games, delivery, ride-hailing, dating or financial services;
• get around restrictions placed on you by a court, an employer or anyone else with legal authority over you;
• mislead emergency services, or anyone who relies on your location for their safety or yours.

We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms.

6. Your subscription

Pinmist is sold as a subscription: $12.95 a month or $42.95 a year, in US dollars, taken by our payment processor, Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page, and you keep Pinmist until the end of the period you have paid for. If our prices change, we will tell you before the change affects your next renewal.

7. Your licence

While your subscription is active, we give you a personal licence to use Pinmist on one computer at a time, signed in with your account. You cannot transfer it to someone else. To move Pinmist to another of your computers, sign in there: the first computer is signed out. Pinmist checks your account when you start a simulation, and keeps working offline for up to 14 days after a successful check.

Do not share your account or resell access to it, or try to get around the account checks. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute Pinmist, except where the law allows it whatever these terms say.

8. Refunds

You can have a full refund within 14 days of any payment. See the refund policy.

9. No warranty

We work hard to keep Pinmist reliable, but we provide it as it is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We do not promise that it will work with every computer, iPhone, iOS version or app, or that it will never be interrupted.

10. Our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from using Pinmist with other apps or services, such as a suspended account. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. You can stop using Pinmist and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which we are established. This does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
